ISC was contracted to perform engineering, procurement and installation of this complete solar power solution. The radio communications for this remote forest service lookout was served by an existing AC power line maintained by Duke Energy. The new solar array and advanced battery technology installed by Industrial Solar Consulting allowed for Duke Energy to remove the power line. This gave dozens of miles of forest back to the Great Smokey Mountains and saved Duke Energy years of costly operating expenses.
