Meander Lake

Situated in the pristine border waters area of Canada and Minnesota, ISC was contracted to install a 37kW array on a challenging granite mountain top. The solar installation included 100KWh Lithium storage with generator backup. This hybrid solar system allowed for the expansion of first responder networks and cellular communications to the area. Outdoors adventurers who enjoy the area now have access to emergency services and communications where none was available before. While constructing this project, our crews experienced every type of weather from rain, hail to snow. We completed the project through the dead of winter encountering many days of below freezing temperatures. It was a good test to see how our battery systems performed in such cold temperatures. This hybrid system has some of our most advanced solar storage and monitoring components, enabling us to monitor, maintain and control every aspect remotely. The result has been excellent performance since commissioning.
